  • Understand your goals and evaluate whether FuturePoint’s services may be appropriate.

  • Operate, maintain, secure, troubleshoot, and improve the Website.

  • Carry out another purpose disclosed when the information is collected or with your consent.

4. Cookies and Analytics

The Website uses cookies and similar technologies. Necessary cookies support essential Website functions. Optional analytics and performance cookies help us understand Website traffic and visitor interactions through Squarespace Analytics.

Where the cookie banner is available, you may accept all cookies, decline non-essential cookies, or manage your preferences. You may also control cookies through your browser settings. Disabling cookies may affect some Website features.

We do not currently use cookies for third-party behavioral advertising or retargeting.

5. How We Disclose Personal Information

We may disclose personal information in the following circumstances:

  • Service providers. We use service providers to host and operate the Website, process form submissions, provide analytics, support email and communications, and schedule meetings. These providers include Squarespace and Microsoft.

  • Legal and safety purposes. We may disclose information when reasonably necessary to comply with law or legal process; protect the rights, property, or safety of FuturePoint or others; detect or prevent fraud, abuse, or security incidents; or enforce applicable terms.

  • Business transactions. Information may be transferred as part of a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, sale of assets, or similar business transaction, subject to appropriate protections.

  • With your direction or consent. We may disclose information when you ask us to do so or otherwise consent.

FuturePoint does not sell personal information. We do not share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising, and we do not use personal information to make automated decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects.

6. Microsoft Bookings

FuturePoint may use Microsoft Bookings to schedule introductory conversations. When you use the scheduling link, Microsoft may collect and process information needed to provide the booking service, such as your name, email address, appointment selection, time zone, and any information you choose to provide. Microsoft processes that information under its applicable terms and privacy practices.

For more information, review the Microsoft Privacy Statement.

7. Data Retention

We retain personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy, including responding to inquiries, maintaining business records, complying with legal or contractual obligations, resolving disputes, and protecting our rights. Retention periods vary based on the nature of the information and our relationship with you. When information is no longer needed, we may delete or de-identify it, subject to legal and technical limitations.

8. Data Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect personal information. However, no website, transmission, or storage system can be guaranteed to be completely secure. You use the Website and transmit information at your own risk.

9. Your Privacy Choices and Rights

Depending on where you live and subject to applicable law, you may have the right to request access to, correction of, deletion of, or a copy of certain personal information; withdraw consent; or object to or restrict certain processing.

To submit a privacy request, email lon@futurepointadvisors.com with the subject line “Privacy Request.” Please describe your request and the information involved. We may need to verify your identity before responding. We will respond within the period required by applicable law and will not discriminate against you for exercising an applicable privacy right.

If applicable law gives you a right to appeal our response, email the same address with the subject line “Privacy Appeal” and explain the basis for your appeal.

10. California and Other U.S. State Disclosures

The categories of personal information we may collect include identifiers, professional or employment-related information, internet or other electronic network activity, and communications or inquiry content. We collect this information directly from you, automatically through the Website, and from the service providers described above. We use and disclose it for the business purposes described in this Privacy Policy.

We do not currently sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. We do not offer financial incentives in exchange for personal information.

Some browsers offer a “Do Not Track” setting. Because there is not a uniform industry standard for responding to these signals, the Website does not currently respond to Do Not Track signals. You may use the Website’s cookie controls and your browser settings to manage cookies. Where required by applicable law and supported by our Website technology, we will honor recognized opt-out preference signals.
